For each task, do a print screen and paste the print-screen to a document. Number each print screen.Submit the document usingBrightSpace. All of the print screens should be in one document.
You can perform this project on your own computer, on a CCBClab computer, or on a CCBC virtual computer by going to http://vdi1.ccbcmd.edu.
Note: Instead of pressing Print-Screen to capture your entire screen, you can use ALT-Print-Screen, or the snipping tool, to capture the current window.
Remember. Submit only 1 document which contains all 13 print screens.
Tasks
- Use the Ipconfig command to display TCP/IP information
- Ping the default gateway
- Use the Ipconfig /all command to show the IP address of the DNS server
- Configure the DHCP service to start automatically (hint: use the computer management console)
- Use the NSLookup command to show the host record for www.ccbcmd.edu
- Show the groups that a user is a member of, (for example show the groups that you are a member of) (hint: use the computer management console)
- Go to the root of the C: drive and show the NTFS permissions for the administrators group
- Use performance monitor to show: Processorutilization, Memory utilization, and disk utilization
- Show the Firewall status (enabled or disabled)
- In Windows Security, under Virus and Threat Protection, Perform a Quick Scan.
- View the contents of the Windows System Log in the Computer Management Console.
- Turn on the Pop-up Blocker in Internet Explorer or Edge
Use the Route Print command to show the routing table
