University of Mississippi Create a Program Code Computer Programming Task

You have been asked to design a prototype system to allow the end user select and pay for the

pass\ticket(s) sold by one of four different outlets (see below table for you assigned outlet) For this

prototype you will only need to include 5 routes\destinations and you can assume there is only 3 pass

types. You can simulate the user entering a cash amount or card on the HMI screen. The prototype will

then notify users of the amount of change due to them and the numbers and type of passes that have

been printed.

The HMI should be appropriately branded and easy to use.

Pass Type

Examples pass types: Adult, Child, Family, Student, Infant, One-way, Return and Single.

The program should use the integrated SFC within the Omron PLC. All logic should be written in ST (structured

text) , ladder logic and Function blocks where appropriate.

Your prototype should allow the user to select:

their destination. the type of travel pass(s) they want e.g., one-way\return, single or family Number of passes required. Simulate the payment methods to be used (Cash\Card).
