The instructions on downloading and installing the software needed for this class will be available later this week and downloading, installing, and using the software will be part of
Assignment 1 and they will be available at that time.

In this class, you are going to learn to use the Java programming language.
To download, install, and use Java to develop programs and applications, you are going to need to download and install the Java Development Kit (JDK) and one Integrated
Development Environment (IDE) like NetBeans or Eclipse.
Open the attached presentation Softwarelnstructions-DownloadAndUse.pdf to read the information and instruction on where and how to download, install, and use the
software and, if you do not want to type the URLs from the presentation, follow the direct link for the JAVA JDK, NetBeans IDE, and Eclipse IDE websites where you can
download the software.
The software is also available in Richland College Del Rio Open Lab, so, if you do not have a computer or you do not install your software on your computer, you can go to one of
the open labs and use one of the computers there.
