Benji, a popular Singaporean singer, entered a contract with Entertainment House Pte Ltd
(EHPL) to perform at a series of two (2) concerts with other performers at the Esplanade on 6
and 7 January 2023.
Under the terms of the contract, Benji was to be paid a total fee of $100,000 for his performance.
For Benji’s segment of the concert, at Benji’s request, EHPL agreed to design a special set-up on
the stage. The special set-up cost EHPL $20,000 to design and fix. EHPL also agreed to provide
Benji with three sets of custom-made outfits. The custom-made outfits cost EHPL $15,000. After
the contract was signed between the two parties, Benji was paid $30,000 in accordance with the
terms of the contract. The balance amount would be payable within three days after the final
performance. Benji had a series of performances overseas in December 2022. He returned to
Singapore on 2 January 2023. He had fever and lost his voice and tested COVID positive on 5
January 2023.
Required:
