Project: Written Report & Presentation:
(20 Marks + 10 Marks) (LO 5 & LO6)
Project Guidelines
* Students shall be distributed into teams, of up to five students per team.
* Teams shall search for a business organization, preferably in the form of a Public Joint Stock Company
registered in the UAE.
* Teams shall identify and analyze the legal and ethical issues associated with the chosen organization, and
explain the organization’s efforts to tackle these issues, and if not, to propose appropriate solutions.
* Teams shall prepare a written report of their project, which shall include three sections:
– Section 1: Introduction: This shall include information regarding the business organization, its structure
and business models; its corporate governance; and its corporate social responsibility.
– Section 2: Main Discussion: Teams shall identify and analyze the legal and ethical issues associated
with the business organization, and the effects of these issues on their business.
– Section 3: Conclusion: Teams shall explain how the selected organization addresses these issues, and
propose solutions and recommendations to the business organization.
Teams shall adhere to the following when conducting their projects:
* Number of pages shall not be less than 15 pages and shall not exceed 25 pages, including cover pages and
references.
* Teams shall use Times New Roman font, size 14 for titles, size 12 for body text, and size 10 for footnotes.
* Line spacing shall be set at 1.5, and paragraphs shall be justified.
* Teams shall adhere to the rules of scientific research methodology.
* Teams shall adhere to the Student Academic Integrity Policy.
* Teams shall, on the cover of their project papers, write the following acknowledgement:
* “We hereby acknowledge that we have become aware of the Student Academic Integrity Policy through the
course instructor, and hereby acknowledge that this project is our own personal accomplishment, and that
we did not seek the assistance of others in preparing it, and that we are fully responsible in case of violating
the Student Academic Integrity Policy in force at the university”.
* Teams shall submit their projects through the (Online Courses) system on the University website.
* Projects shall be submitted before the end of week 14 of the semester.
Presentation Guidelines
* Teams shall prepare a PowerPoint Presentation (10-15 Slides ONLY) to present their chosen case to the
class.
* Presentations shall not exceed 15 minutes, with additional 5 minutes for class questions and discussion.
* Each Team member shall be assessed individually on her/his presentation skills and contribution to the
project.
