During the term, each student will be required to prepare and turn in two (2) typed structured analysis of an assigned case. These written assignments will make up 20% of the course grade. Instructions on how to write a structured case analysis will be provided by the professor prior to the first due date. The submitted, typed structured case analysis should be no more than two (2) pages in length. Grading of the Structured Case Analysis will be based on the student’s ability to: Follow the correct format. Distinguish between important and unimportant facts. Isolate and articulate correct legal issue(s). Articulate correct controlling rules(s) of law. Identify the reasoning used by the court in its decision. Identify the decision of the court.
