The workplace is becoming incredibly diverse. So many organizations can now operate throughout the world and be associated with so many different cultures. Still, the level of diversity within an organization has never been so pronounced.

With diversity comes individuals from many different cultures and traditions, creating an organization with unique personalities, emotions, and moods. In this activity, you will examine the complexities of working within a diverse workplace.

Instructions

Acting as a new manager, you have been asked to compose a 2-3 page memo to senior management that details the advantages and challenges of working in a diverse workplace. In particular, discuss how differing personalities, emotions, and moods have an impact on the workplace. In your memo, address the following:

Describe the various personalities, emotions, and moods you have observed in your workplace.

Assess how these traits impact the workplace, both positively and negatively.

Finally, research and offer 2 strategies that senior management should adapt to create a working environment conducive to working effectively among employees from different backgrounds and cultures and with different attributes and traits. Be sure to address the remote working environment in your analysis.
