I’m working on a business law discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
replies of at least 100 words each to 2 classmates’ threads. Each thread and each reply must reference at least 2 scholarly sources other than the course textbook, cited in current APA format (including both in-text citations and a reference list). You must also support each thread and reply with thoughtful analysis (considering assumptions, analyzing implications, and comparing/contrasting concepts) and biblical worldview integration throughout.
For each reply, read the threads posted by your classmates and reply to a thread that presented a different conclusion than your thread. Note that comments such as “I like what you said,” “that is a good comment,” and “I disagree with your comment” do not constitute complete replies. Rather, state reasons that support your conclusions with additional and/or alternate research/ideas/thoughts.

General partnership
COLLAPSE
Some advice that I would give to Andrew and Peter, is that throwing someone out of the loop is
not fair to the other person. Paul is part owner of the hunting lodge and he has the right to know
what is going on in the planning of the lodge. with Paul being the person that is on the front lines
can be a great deal due to the fact he can see what improvements are needed in certain areas. I
think all the people that work for that lodge should be briefed on the changes or what is going on
in the lodge. The church thing needs to be brought up in the meeting due to Paul’s opinion, but at
the end of the day, the mean owner makes the call and the decision. some of the things they will
have to worry about opening up a hunting lodge are that they are taking on liability which costs
money to have. If something were to happen then the lodge can get sued. to reduce the amount of
suing, you guys need to draw up a contract with the hunter and the church people, that you are
not liable for any damage to anything or someone, but also so have a safety guideline to be
issued to each hunter about the rules and regulation, and if you break those rules then you have
fines and penalties. most of the profits can go to building expenses like repair
and maintaining the building. some of the losses would be something breaking or damages done
to the building. according to the article I found on a website “Any shareholder has percentage
ownership in the company, determined by dividing the number of shares they own by the
number of outstanding shares. Although stock paperwork will always list numbers of shares, if
share value is uncertain, percentage ownership is often a more meaningful number, particularly if
you know or can estimate a likely valuation of the company.” (Holloway, 2020) This can help
out Andrew and Peter’s decision to bring in paul during the meeting or keep him out of the whole
thing. In the bible in the book of second Corinthians 6:14-18 states “Don’t team up with those
who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live
with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil?” (bible, 2022)

I would suggest Peter and Andrew to choose a General Partnership for several reasons
including how easy it is to form a General Partnership compared to a Limited Liability
Company. When forming a General Partnership, you are not required to have any written
agreement. If you choose to form a General Partnership without an agreement, the Revised
Uniform Partnership Act, or RUPA, “governs a general partnership” (McGraw Hill, p. 456). In
addition to the legality being easier, a general partnership would be preferred because you would
have more control in the business. The business would be “based on the personal qualities of the
associates” (Lupulescu, 2017) rather than that cold work environment we have all felt at some
point. However, one downside to a general partnership is that the owners would be more liable
for debts and lawsuits than if they chose to an LLC. It is my opinion that Paul should not be a coowner, instead he could be a Chief Operating Officer or some similar title. Since Peter and
Andrew would be the only co-owners, it should be divided equally between the two both in
ownership and profits/losses. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, “do not be yoked together with
unbelievers” (NIV), however all through the New Testament we see Jesus interacting with
unbelievers. Should we not invite unbelievers to events that glorify God? Obviosityno, we
should still invite them with hopes they will have a change of heart. Maybe Paul needs to be in
an environment where he can see the love of Christ and will have a changed heart, however, I do
not think he should have a head role.
