The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is responsible for adminstering laws that
regulate agriculture and the food-processing industry. Its mandate includes
monitoring farm animals for avian flu and mad cow disease and ensuring the
safety of food additives. Although the agency regulations have made food safer,
each year many Canadians contract food-borne illnesses.
Instructions
Your task is to assess, on the basis of research, the effectiveness of a
government initiative intended to protect the public health of Canadians.
Choose one of the questions below to further research and present your findings
in an essay-style report. Be sure to organize your information in a logical order
