Exercise Search Engines Evaluation

Purpose

As an indexer you should know how the indexing works in the search services. First, because it is an aspect of the field and you want to claim your professional territory. And, second, because of the career opportunities available. The textbook has a general discussion, but in this exercise I want you to get into it a bit deeper.

Procedures

Identify three search engines(Considering the rapid changes in the world of search engines, please feel free to go beyond the popular ones and identify your favorite search engines.) 

For each search engines, find:

a description of the search engine and

reviews and evaluations of the search engine.(There must be citations to the reviews.)Describe how each one indexes and organizes its information.Search the three sites using two of the following topics:– Conflict in Ukraine– The 2020 Tokyo Olympics– U.S. Presidential Elections 2020– Boeing 737 MAX planes– The life of singer-songwriter Michael Jackson– COVID-19 Pandemic
