As mentioned at the beginning of the semester, you are going to create your own repository. Please follow the instruction provided below and make sure you include all the required contents. Be sure to not use copyrighted material.
PAPER PORTION
Create the title page that includes…
The shareable URL of your repository
Include the following items in your paper (the boldfaced text indicates heading and the non-boldfaced text indicates required contents).
Introduction:
- What digital curation/preservation is.
- The need of digital curation/preservation practice.
- The information setting you selected for the project.
Type of information preserved/curated:
- Type of information (content, format, etc.) in the information setting you selected.
- How the type of information needs to be preserved/curated.
Potential users:
- For whom are you preserving/curating the information?
- How are they going to access and use the information?
Software Selected:
- Brief description of software
- The reason you selected the software for the project.
Metadata Fields:
- The name and the description of each field
Copyright:
- Who owns the items preserved/curated? (Do not use copyrighted material)
- Users responsibility (requiring them to cite the source, recommended citation, etc.)
Workflow and Maintenance:
- Steps required for creating the repository
- Maintenance schedule
- Budgeting
Conclusion:
- Any thought on your repository and the practice of digital curation/preservation.
References:
- Any cited sources in the body of the paper should be listed here.
Appendix
- Created metadata for each item ingested to your repository

SUBMISSION
Create a Word doc and save it with the file name containing your last name, the course name, and the assignment name (e.g., McLain_INFO4730_
Project.doc).
Submit your project via Assignments -> Turnitin Assignments.
