- Open the start file AC2021-FixIt-1-6.
- If necessary, enable active content by clicking the Enable Content button in the Message Bar.
- The file will be renamed automatically to include your name. Change the project file name if directed to do so by your instructor.
- The employees cannot see their forms and reports in the Navigation Pane. Please help them by organizing the Navigation Pane using the Tables and Related Views category.
- Spend some time exploring the structure of the database. Identify the database objects and how they are related to one another. Verify that all the table relationships are visible in the Relationships window.
- The owner tells you that a former employee would often make data entry errors, and he wants your help in finding and correcting errors in the Pets table.Change the width of the Breed column to AutoFit the data. This will make it easier to review the data.Find and replace all instances of Lab with Labrador Retriever in the Breed field.One of the records has the data in the Breed and the MainColor fields swapped. Find the record and fix it. Hint: Find the record with White in the Breed field.There is also a duplicate record. Delete the record with the pet ID 1446011.Save and close the table.
- The CustomersReport report is poorly formatted. Delete it for now. You will need to recreate it at another time.
- The records in the Customers table should be sorted by customer last names not cities. Remove the sort and re-sort the records alphabetically by last name. Save and close the table.
- The owner plans on printing the Customers table. Make sure it will fit on one page when printed.
- The owner wonders why the database file size is so large. Help him reduce the file size.
- Create a backup of the database so you can easily fix the data if these problems crop up again.
- Close any open database objects and save changes if necessary.
- Close the database and exit Access.
- Upload and save your project file.
- Submit project for grading.
