Skill Review 2.2
In this project you will be modifying the My Health Journey presentation by adding
content. You will change text using Outline view and the Copy and Paste commands. You
will add pictures from Microsoft’s stock images collection. You will then resize and move
the pictures you add. You will change a numbered list into a bulleted list. You will display
data in a chart and add WordArt and a shape to a slide. Finally, you will add an audio file
from your computer and have the audio play in the background.

Steps to complete this project:
Mark the steps as checked when you complete them.
1. Open the PP2021-SkillReview-2-2 presentation. The file will be renamed
automatically to include your name. Change the project file name if directed to
do so by your instructor, and save it.
2. If the presentation opens in Protected View, click the Enable Editing button in
the Message Bar at the top of the presentation so you can modify it.
NOTE: If group titles are not visible on your Ribbon in PowerPoint for Mac, click
the PowerPoint menu and selectPreferences to open the PowerPoint Preferences dialog
box. Click the View button and check the Show group titles check box under Ribbon.
Close the PowerPoint Preferences dialog box.
3. Add text to a slide through Outline view.
a. Click the View tab.
b. In the Presentation Views group, click the Outline View button.
c. Click next to the square for Slide 2 on the Outline pane.
d. Type: Eating Habits
e. In the Presentation Views group, click the Normal View button.
4. Copy and paste text from one slide to another.
a. Navigate to Slide 4.
b. Select the third bullet point: Take a nap when possible.
c. Click the Home tab.
d. In the Clipboard group, click the Copy button.
e. Navigate to Slide 6.
f. Place the cursor after the last bullet point (No electronic times) and
press Enter .
g. In the Clipboard group, click the Paste button.
5. Convert a numbered list into a bulleted list.
a. Navigate to Slide 7.
b. Select the numbered list.
c. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the Bullets button
arrow.
d. Select the Checkmark Bullets option.
6. Add a stock image to a slide.
a. Navigate to Slide 2.
b. Click the Insert tab.
c. In the Images group, click the Pictures button and select Stock
Images…
d. In the Stock Images pane, search for images using the
keyterm vegetables
e. Select an image of vegetables and click Insert.
7. Add alt text to the picture.
a. Verify the image is still selected.
b. On the Picture Format tab, in the Accessibility group, click the Alt
Text button.
c. In the Alt Text task pane, if necessary, delete any text that appears in
the text box and type photograph of vegetables
8. Resize the image.
a. Verify the image is still selected.
b. On the Picture Format tab, in the Size group, type 5” in
the Width box.
c. Press Enter .
9. Align an image.
a. Verify the image is still selected.
b. On the Picture Format tab, in the Arrange group, click
the Align button and select Align Right.
c. Click the Align button again and select Align Middle.
10. Add an icon.
a. Navigate to Slide 7.
b. Click the Insert tab.
c. In the Illustrations group, click the Icons button.
d. Search for icons using the keyterm target
e. Click the icon of the target with an arrow. It is in
the Analytics section of the Icons pane. Locate and select the icon that
looks like this.
If you do not see this icon, insert an icon of your
choice.
f. Click the Insert button.
g. Resize the icon so it is 3.5” wide and 3.5” tall.
11. Apply a style to the icon.
a. On the Graphics Format tab, in the Graphics Styles group, click
the More button to expand the gallery.
b. Click the Colored Fill – Accent 1, Dark 1 Outline graphics style. It is
the second option in the third row of the gallery.
12. Move an object using smart guides.
a. Verify the icon you inserted is still selected.
b. Move the icon so it appears to the right of the bulleted list. Use the
smart guides to align the top of the icon object with the top of the
bulleted list.
13. Add a chart to a slide.
a. Navigate to Slide 8.
b. Click in the title placeholder and type Calories in and
Calories Out
c. Click the Insert Chart icon in the content placeholder and point to
Column.
d. Select a Clustered Column chart (the first option in the 2-D Column
category).
e. In the Chart in Microsoft PowerPoint dialog, delete the Series
3 column.
f. Insert the following data for the chart. NOTE: When you add
Thursday through Saturday, you may see a message box indicating a
problem with the data. Click OK in the message box to continue
adding the information:

g. Close the Chart in Microsoft PowerPoint dialog.
14. Add WordArt to a slide.
a. Navigate to Slide 9.
b. Click the Insert tab.
c. In the Text group, click the WordArt button and select the Fill: Aqua,
Accent color 1; Shadow option (the second option in the first row of
the gallery).
d. Type: I know I can do it!
e. Click outside the text box to deselect it.
15. Add a shape to a slide.
a. Click the Insert tab.
b. In the Illustrations group, click the Shapes button and select
the Smiley Face (it is located in the third row under Basic Shapes).
c. Add the shape on the lower right side of the WordArt you added.
16. Insert an audio file.
a. Click the Insert tab.
b. In the Media group, click the Audio button and select Audio from
File…
c. In the Choose Audio dialog, navigate to the location where you saved
the data files for this book.
d. Select the closing song audio file.
e. Click the Insert button.
17. Adjust the settings of the audio file.
a. Verify the audio file is selected on the slide.
b. On the Playback tab, in the Audio Styles group, click the Play in
Background button.
18. Save and close the presentation.
19. Upload and save your project file.
20. Submit project for grading.
