Skill Review 3.1
In this project you will be modifying the look of the marketing presentation from the RW
Morris Marketing agency. First, you will change the look of the presentation by changing
the theme, adjusting the colors, and applying a pattern to the slide background. You will
then apply transitions to all the slides in the presentation. You will adjust the look of a
drawing object, SmartArt diagram, picture, and a table. Finally, you will animate a SmartArt
diagram and change the effects of the animation.

Steps to complete this project:
Mark the steps as checked when you complete them.
1. Open the PP2021-SkillReview-3-1 presentation. The file will be renamed
automatically to include your name. Change the project file name if directed to
do so by your instructor, and save it.
2. If the presentation opens in Protected View, click the Enable Editing button in
the Message Bar at the top of the presentation so you can modify it.
NOTE: If group titles are not visible on your Ribbon in PowerPoint for Mac, click
the PowerPoint menu and selectPreferences to open the PowerPoint Preferences dialog
box. Click the View button and check the Show group titles check box under Ribbon.
Close the PowerPoint Preferences dialog box.
3. Change the presentation theme and variant.
a. Click the Design tab.
b. In the Themes group, click the More button and select
the Berlin theme.

c. In the Variants group, select the green option (the third option in
the Variants gallery).
Apply a pattern background to a slide.
a. If necessary, navigate to Slide 1.
b. In the Customize group, click the Format Background button.
c. In the Format Background task pane, select the Pattern fill radio
button under Fill.
d. In the Pattern section, click the Dotted: 70% option (the third option
in the second row of the gallery).
e. Click the Foreground button and select Green, Background 2,
Darker 50%. It is the third option in the last row under Theme Colors.
f. Click the Background button and select Green, Background 2,
Darker 25%. It is the third option in the next to last row under Theme
Colors.
g. Click the Close button at the top of the task pane.
Apply a slide transition to all the slides in the presentation.
a. Click the Transitions tab.
b. In the Transition to This Slide group, click the Split transition. If
the Split transition does not appear on the Ribbon, click
the More button to see all the available transitions.
c. In the Timing group, click the Apply to All button.
Apply a Quick Style to a drawing object.
a. Navigate to Slide 5.
b. Select the callout shape at the top of the slide.
c. On the Shape Format tab, in the Shape Styles group, click
the More button and select Light 1 Outline, Colored Fill – Lime,
Accent 1 (the second option in the third row).
Change the shape fill color of a drawing object.
a. Verify the callout shape is still selected.
b. In the Shape Styles group, click the Shape Fill button and select Lime,
Accent 1, Lighter 60% (it is the fifth option in the third row of the
color palette).
Change the outline of a drawing object.
a. Verify the callout shape is still selected.
b. In the Shape Styles group, click the Shape Outline button and
select Lime, Accent 1, Lighter 80% (it is the fifth option in the
second row of the color palette).
c. In the Shape Styles group, click the Shape Outline button, point
to Weight, and select the 3 pt. option.
Modify the look of a SmartArt diagram.
a. Select the SmartArt diagram on Slide 8.
b. Click the SmartArt Design tab.
c. In the SmartArt Styles group, click the Polished style. It is the sixth
option in the gallery.
d. In the SmartArt Styles group, click the Change Colors button and
select the Colored Fill – Accent 2 option. It is the second option in
the Accent 2 section.
10. Apply an animation effect.
a. Verify the SmartArt diagram is still selected.
b. Click the Animations tab.
c. In the Entrance Effects group, click the More button and select
the Float In animation effect.
11. Change the effects of an animation.
a. Verify the SmartArt diagram is still selected.
b. On the Animations tab, in the Advanced Animation group, click
the Effect Options button and select Float Down.
c. Click the Effect Options button again and select One By One.
12. Apply a Quick Style to a table.
a. Select the table on Slide 9.
b. Click the Table Design tab.
c. In the Table Styles group, click the More button. In the Best Match for
Document section, click the Themed Style 1 – Accent 2 style (it is the
third option in the Best Match for Document section).
13. Apply a picture style to an image.
a. Select the picture on Slide 9.
b. Click the Picture Format tab.
c. In the Picture Styles group, click the Quick Styles button to expand
the gallery and click the Simple Frame, White option. It is the first
option in the gallery.
14. Save and close the presentation.
15. Upload and save your project file.
16. Submit project for grading.
