The purpose of this individual assignment is to identify common project quality management tools and discuss how these tools can be applied to control project quality.

Background

“The Control Quality process is performed to measure the completeness, compliance, and fitness for use of a product or service prior to user acceptance and final delivery” (PMI, 2017, p. 299). This process is performed using a variety of tools and techniques that are appropriate for the project, the project team, and the organization’s approach to managing projects and project quality. This process is performed throughout the project and may be performed by specific quality management teams or the entire project management team. The goal of the project quality management process is to make sure that the result of the project meets the needs that was intended in the first place – meeting the needs of the project stakeholders as defined – not to exceed these standards.
