1 – Discuss the pros and cons of mental health professionals providing a diagnosis or label for a
client’s presenting issues.

2 – Discuss the ethical dilemmas involved in the use of control groups in research. Is it ethical to
continue the research when it becomes clear that treatment subjects are benefiting significantly
from the treatment that is not being received by the control subjects? Is it right to hold treatment
from a group if it appears to be working?

3 – What do you see as some of the major anxiety provoking events in people lives? At what
