Group Portion
Working with your team, use the Small Group Discussion Board to combine the products of your individual projects into a single, concise, well-organized emergency management plan that conforms to established professional guidelines for natural disasters.
Assignment Guidelines
· In 2,000–2,500 words total, develop a group emergency management plan.
· The plan developed by the group must address the following at minimum:
· Situation and assumptions
· What are the circumstances? (Hint: Create a scenario.)
· Authority
· What is the chain of command? Explain.
· Purpose
· What are the objectives of the plan? Explain.
· Concept of operations
· What are the functions and tasks that will be performed to fulfill the plan’s goals and missions?
· Organization and assignment of responsibilities
· Who is in charge of specific functions and tasks? Why?
· Direction and control
· How will the processes of the plan stay on course? Explain.
· Plan development and maintenance
· What are some key factors that must be taken into consideration during the plan development phase?
· Additional information beyond what is included in the group members’ first 3 Individual Projects is required to ensure that a plan that meets industry standards is developed.
· You may divide the above plan components among the group members any way that you choose.
· You must discuss your ideas with the members of your group. The group as a whole must approve any ideas before you begin drafting your portion of the plan.

Individual Portion
· In 400–500 words, explain what parts of the group plan you feel might be problematic.
· What portions of the plan, if any, do you think will most likely have to be revised? Why?
· If you do not feel that the plan will have to be revised, how could you improve the plan? Explain.
· There are not necessarily any wrong answers to these questions, but you must fully support your arguments with evidence.
· What challenges did the group face when developing the emergency operations plan? Explain.
· How were those challenges overcome?
