Contemporary Native American Culture

This week you will research the contemporary socio-economic structure of your chosen tribe. Present your research by constructing a three-page paper that includes:

1. A summary of the tribe’s descent, kinship, and marriage structure.
2. A description of the political structure.
3. An explanation of religious beliefs.
4. A description of the economic system.
5. A comparison between each of the above components for your chosen tribe and another tribe from the textbook or the list of tribes.

2. Must include a title page with the following:  

   Title of Assignment
   Student’s name
   Course name and number
   Instructor’s name
   Date submitted

3. Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.
4. Must address the topic with critical thought.
5. Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
6. Must include one scholarly source, in addition to the textbook, that must be found in the Ashford University Library. Other acceptable sources can include government and tribal websites.
