Hi,
you can see the attachment for the details.
My major is Accounting
Kim Rawley
Essay #5
WRIT 111
Oct. 29, 2013
A five to seven page semiotic investigation of something related to your major, in MLA style with three sources.
Using the tools we have been working with, examine something related to your major. If your major is architecture, you can examine another building. If it is marketing, you can look at an ad campaign. If fashion design, look at a specific designer’s collection. If you are an animation major, you can examine a particular film. If you really can’t think of anything that would fit your major, talk to me.
THIS IS NOT A RESEARCH PAPER. In other words, you have to have three sources for facts, statistics, reviews, and the like, but the bulk of the paper should be your observations (bearing in mind that the paper should be written in third-person).
How does its form follow its function? Who or what is the object designed for? Would it meet their needs? From what did the creator take inspiration (this could from their words, if you can find it, or conjecture based on your research). Is the object meant to blend in, or stand out?
Remember that quotes should never stand alone; they should be incorporated into a sentence. You must introduce your quotes with signal phrases (see handout).
Make sure you quote and cite your sources. Use your handbook or the Purdue Owl for proper MLA style, if you are in doubt.
