In the 60’s, America and the world witnessed and enjoyed a continuation of the expansion of the economy, brought about by tax cuts initiated under John F. Kennedy and the relative peace between the Korean and Vietnam Wars (Perry & Tobin, 2000).
The increase in government in the economy increased lead to a larger labor force (National Archives, 2009).
By 1970 the government employed 3.9 percent of the labor force, as compared to 2.4 percent in 1940 (National Archives, 2009).
The government became more actively involved with the economy, spending money for research, and military equipment for the Vietnam war (National Archives, 2009). In the 1960’s the government expanded Social Security benefits creating a society of entitlement (National Archives, 2009).

Tonya – her is an example conclusion from another presentation……..
The views of Jerome S. Bruner, 20th Century Educational Theorist, were discussed in this PowerPoint Presentation. Bruner’s learning theories initially focused on behaviorism and perception. Cognition was another area of focus that resulted in Bruner authoring a book entitled, The Study of Thinking. Bruner has written many books to his credit and the quality of education has been impacted by his writings. Bruner chaired and served on numerous educational committees throughout his career.
Economic, social, regulatory and accrediting environments were examined as they related to the pros and cons of Bruner’s theories, during the 20th Century and today. Many of his ideas and theories were appropriate to the conditions during the time of development and continue to be influential today. Bruner’s views of learning were impacted more by the theories of other educational theorists than by environmental factors.
After researching Jerome S. Bruner’s contribution to the educational process, LT A would conclude by saying, Bruner introduced brilliant theories, some that took place before people were able and ready to accept all the ideas, yet they continue to impact the process of education.
