This topic gains importance because intelligence officials emphasized that N.S.A. database does not contain any calling contents of Americans. They promote such monitoring should be done only in the case of any suspicion of terrorism etc.

This article represents government as an intruder in private lives. NSA is given the responsibility to create a database that could reveal some of the most intimate secrets of American citizens. Government’s data analysis would use software for instantly tracing chains of social connections so as to make metadata more revealing as compare to call contents.

3. What is your opinion/reaction/solution to the issue addressed in the article? Do you agree with the author? Explain.

I also agree with the author that American Government must not interfere in private lives of American people and keeping record of their phone calls, like whom they are calling and for how long they are talking. This article shows that an advocacy group,

, has asked the Supreme Court to intervene and void the surveillance court’s approval of the phone data collection.

1. What is the subject matter(issue) of this article and why it is important and significant?

The article talks about an appeal made by the Speaker John A. Boehner to Obama administration and Democratic leaders to help him resolve divisions in the Republican ranks that could lead to a government shutdown by month’s end. The article shows that this is a wide problem and need President’s participation for its solution.

2. Which purpose of government does this article represent? Explain.

The article stress on the running of government which will be shut down on Oct 1 unless congress approves new spending bills for replacing the expiring ones for raising the government’s borrowing limits. It is also discussed that Treasury Department will lose the borrowing authority for financing the government and for paying its debts.

3. What is your opinion/reaction/solution to the issue addressed in the article? Do you agree with the author? Explain.

I agree with the solution that 14-page fact sheet has gone back into circulation among House members. But white House officials dismissed it as “a nonstarter.” Everyone says that Presidents Obama’s health care law for the year will make the budget deficit and will not able to attract Democratic support.

The main matter of this article is that American Constitution needs some more amendments to make the U.S. into a country that works for everyone. The entire article talks about constitutional changes. It states that there are two set of rules, one is for the insiders of the Washington and other is for everyone else. The matter is given importance because it is expected that changes in the Constitution will bring changes in the Americans life.

1. Which purpose of government does this article represent? Explain.

The government will go through structural shifts that have empowered insiders and the expense of the citizenry. The government role would be repeal the passed laws by the other two. The federal government has so many criminal laws that have bloated the government. The Core constitutional principle have made administrative regulations through which Congress can easily legislate.

3. What is your opinion/reaction/solution to the issue addressed in the article? Do you agree with the author? Explain.

I agree with the solution that all the problems can be solved by making appropriate amendments in the Constitution. This change will make the country for all. I also think the same that many amendments are worth considering and cause structural shifts in the amendments that cause deeper shifts in the values that can be fixed by passing few amendments.
