Choose a topic from those listed below. Research the topic, using at least two sources. Write a two-page paper (500 words) giving a brief overview of the topic. Note, this assignment does not ask for an in-depth report.

You may choose to depict your research in the form of a cause-and-effect pamphlet, newspaper, or other text media. How did these early Britons influence the culture? For example, they brought with them new elements of language, ideas, and traditions. The invading tribes such as the Celts, Romans, and the Normans influenced Anglo-Saxon literature.
If you choose a newspaper format remember to be objective when writing the article. Voice your opinion in an editorial page. Political cartoons could be included to indicate the feeling the early Britons had about the invading tribes and influences changing their culture.
