My Neighborhood

I grow up in a great place and my parents moved there when I was one years old .I lived there for my entire life from one until now I’m twenty years old ,so I have been living in the same neighborhood for almost nineteen years .This place called Al Muhammadiyah in the city of Jeddah in K.S.A (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ).It is kind of a suburb because it is far from the city and near the Air port . my neighborhood is a very safe place ,when I walk in that place I know everyone on the street and everyone knows me . In my culture neighbors are very important I know all my neighbors and in occasions we visit each others houses .Also in Arabic culture older have special care from every buddy , none of my friends and I can smoke or play in praying time. Almost all males in the area go to Mosque to pray so at this times we as youth have to becareful not to do something wrong because it is very disrespectful if someone sees you . In addition ,living in my neighborhood can be very safe for me because I know almost everyone ,I can walk at night safely and if someone see me far from my home they will come to me and ask are you ok or do you want ride to your home . This kind of culture has a positive effect on my life I learned a lot of experience from my neighborhood , and I feel that I want to go back after I finish from studying abroad .i feel that my place is the best around the world .However in my apartments in Los Angeles I only know one of my neighbors , because here is different from my country I feel that everyone is independent .unlike back home and I think my neighborhood is a beautiful and warm place and as it is known ‘’East or West home is best ‘’.
