Paralegals are governed by the ethical rules spelled out in their state Bar Rules of Professional Conduct.  They should also be acquainted with the NALA and NFPA rules of ethics. Go to the NALA Web site. Under “About Paralegals,” locate “Model Standards and Guidelines for the Utilization of Paralegals.” In a Word document, write a two-page summary of what Guideline 4 says about the duties and responsibilities of attorneys who are supervising paralegals. What do you consider to be the pros and cons of this guideline?
