DQ1

Both Freud and Erikson focused on the infant’s early development in terms of the effect of interactions with the caregivers. In narrative format compare Freud’s and Erikson’s theories. How are they similar? How are they different?

Most hospitals allow the newborn and his or her parents some time to bond immediately after birth. What is the importance of bonding during the first few hours of life for the infant, the mother, the father, and for any siblings or other extended family members? How would this policy contribute to the infant’s development?

In order to be considered a peer-reviewed article, it must go through an acceptance process organized by the publisher in which a small group of experts in the field has reviewed and recommended publication of the article.

 

Therefore a magazine, such as Psychology Today, or a resource such as a newspaper, web site, dictionary, encyclopedia, or Wikipedia would NOT be considered a peer reviewed article.

 

However, a publication of the American Psychological Association or the American Counseling Association would be considered peer reviewed.
