Apple CASE: Baltzan, Chapter 1: Week 8 – Individual Assignment 1. (Individual Assignment) Each student is to critically analyze the Apple case found in Baltzan, Chapter 1. In particular, each student updates the case information by new research to include Apple’s other product lines and decides the lessons that have been learned for information systems managers, in a succinct report that includes an executive summary. 2. Each student also researches for evidence, if any, that Apple uses any of the following in its business activities: “business intelligence”, “enterprise resource planning (ERP)”, “customer relationship management (CRM)”, “data mining”, and ”intelligent systems”, and documents the results in the report Also, be sure to review our grading rubric. In successfully accomplishing this business case analysis, it will be important for you to: 3. Formulate and then 1) address useful questions designed to 2) extract the lessons of the Apple case. You may start with the questions found with the case, but you should not stop with them. Be succinct, as your readership will likely be busy with other things and can devote only a limited time to reading your ideas, no matter how good they are.
