Discussion Question 2: http://www.escambiaclerk.com/clerk/forms/cafr/CAFR_2010 Please click on the website above and take a look around a real CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report). The Escambia County CAFR financial statements begin on page 20. To go along with this chapter, be sure to review closely the General Fund and Special Revenue fund. Now that you are vaguely familiar with all the different funds within governmental accounting, post on the discussion page your thoughts to the idea below. Is the individual “funds” necessary to keep track of governmental spending? Could it be done with one fund? Do you have an idea of a better system? This week you are only required to make 1 post. You do not have to respond to other student’s comments, but please add your thoughts to other post if inspired to do so. I would like this to be a “conversation and reply” type discussion. Also, I would recommend reading the other post for insight and information.
