Instructions
This assignment asks you to reflect on two areas of learning you have done in this
class: administrative and personal. This paper should be written from your perspective
in the first person. You will write a reflective essay that covers the following points:
Introduction (1 – 2 pages)
Briefly introduce the reader to the concepts and topic of the paper.
Administrative skills and tools (2 – 3 pages)
Review the skills you’ve learned in the class that will be particularly useful to you in your
doctoral journey. These may include resource management systems, academic
integrity, resources available to you through National, or any other topics, skills, or tools
covered in the class.
Personal and professional foundations (2 – 3 pages)
Reflect on what you’ve realized about yourself in this course. This may include personal
goals, strengths, challenges, professional goals, or anything else that has come up for
you. This can be both the good things and those you are nervous about or still have
questions about.
Conclusion (1 – 2 pages)
Wrap up your paper with a brief review that lets the reader know your paper's important
points.
Length: 6 to 10 pages (approximately 250 words per page), not including the title and
reference pages.
References: Include 3 scholarly resources.
