NET364 Lab instructions
Note: Please replace TDC464 with NET364
1. Install VMware Player into your computer from:
a.
http://www.vmware.com/products/player/playerpro-evaluation.html
2. Download the Linux VoIP TrixBox trixbox-2.8.0.4.iso from Week2.
3. Install TrixBox using your VMware Player.
a. Start your VMware Player on your PC See below
b. Click on create a New Virtual Machine
c.
d.
e. Select Installer disc image file (iso) and browse select the file “trixbox-2.8.0.4.iso” and click next.
f. Type in the following info:
i. Full name type: “NET364 Linux VoIP TrixBox”
ii. Username: student ——————à all lowercase
iii. Password: P@$w0rd01 ——————à all lowercase, Zero not letter “O”
g. Click Next for the virtual machine name type: “NET364_TrixBox_2.8.0.4”
h. Click next and accept the default options, see below:
i. Click Next and accept the default options, see below and click finish.
j. The next step is the system will install TrixBox when done login using the following info:
i. Username: root
ii. Password: student
k. The Lab1 is to submit screenshot of your TrixBox VoIP Linux Server by typing ifconfig at command line, see below:
l. Note: to get out the Virtual Machine back to Window you will need to hold down the Ctrl+Alt key at the same time.
