1. Submit/Post in Week 2 – SMART Goals Discussion Forum two (2) items as follows:

a. Prepare one (1) SMART Goal you will accomplish in your Internship.  It can be a technical skill or a soft skill.  Follow the Table Format of the Example given in the lecture. Use Week 2 – SMART Goal Template to complete your assignment.

b. Write a two-paragraph reflection on the importance of SMART Goals for internship success.  What new concepts did you learn?  Relate the new concepts learned to prior goals that may have failed. How did the SMART Goals lesson change your thinking?  What did you discover about yourself — personal qualities do you possess that you need to change so you can be more proactive, action oriented and solution seeking individual?

As an intern, you will gain knowledge in technical skills (help desk troubleshooting, networking, database, web design, etc.) and “soft skills” like interpersonal skills, taking initiative, communication skills, problem-solving and analytical skills, flexibility and adaptability and many more.

It is important that you and your supervisor meet to plan on your Learning Goals and the Expectations by the end of the internship. Build or create ONE (3) SMART Goal for your internship (it can be technical or a soft skill).
