Unit 1: What is the Good Life?
Outline topic for this unit due every Monday (due on Wednesday during weeks without Monday classes): For each author, identify what the author thinks makes a life a good life and identify a few reasons why each author thinks that constitutes a good life.
Outline and Question Assignment: A one-page outline of the main argument for that week’s reading on the first class meeting in which students will identify the conclusion the author argues for as well as the main premises that lead to his conclusion. On a second page, include at least one question for clarification of the material or discussion.
