The objective of the Unit 3 Connection 2 iA2P is to create a comic book that covers the time period from 1970–1974. You will need to pick ten events from these years that you think were the most important and put them in comic book form. Your comic should be more like a Batman comic than a Ziggy comic.

DIRECTIONS

Step 1: Pick ten important events from American history that occurred between 1970 and 1974.

Step 2: Research those events and find an image for each event, or you can draw your own image if you are a skilled artist. Each image should be placed on its own slide in PowerPoint.

Step 3: Identify the event and the date the event occurred in month/day/year format. This information should be the caption of your slide. Each caption should be in comic book style. The caption should be a text block; in comics they are usually placed at the bottom or top of an image. If you are unfamiliar with comics, use the Internet and do a search to see what comics look like.

Step 4: Create the dialogue for your slides. The dialogue must be relevant to the events. If there are no humans in the event/image, you will still need to write dialogue for the images on your slides. Use callouts and thought bubbles. To do this, open PowerPoint and click Insert. Then click Shapes and insert the shape you want to use from the Callout section.
