Discuss the role that the Constitution plays in framing the U.S. government, and discuss the concept of public policy. In doing so, make certain to answer the following questions.

What are the main components of the United States Constitution that serve as the framework for how society governs and are governed? Explain.

1. The Preamble- states we the people because the laws are governed by the people and it proves that there is justice for all, and wanting to create a better world for all. These words were written so that there is a more perfect union for all this to me helps to establish the law and justice for all.

2. The Articles (7)– were written to provide law the different Branches help to see the different laws and facts that need to be followed by we the people. They also define the laws of the land and to help us all understand the Constitution of the United States of America. This also admits states to the Union this Constitution came into effect after 9 out of 13 states approved it. The 7 Articles listed (Volkomer, 2013) are:

• Article I – The Legislative Article which contains the framing of the government

• Article II – The Executive Article which contains the power of the President.

• Article III – The Judicial Article is the power of the court system.

• Article IV – Interstate Relations is the relationships between states of the union.

• Article V – The Amending Power considers the information in amending the constitution.

• Article VI – The Supremacy Article supports all prior agreements entered into prior to the

Constitution.

• Article VII – Ratification Article deals with the ratification of states.

3. The Amendments (27)– were written to show the people what their rights are, such as freedom of speech and religion. This also includes the right to bear arms, powers reserved to states, and elimination of slavery.

What is Public Policy? Explain.

Public Policy refers to a range of decisions and actions that govern public problems. It researches methods of economics, soc-science and many other disciplines to examine public policy. Such as Benefits, Potential, Considerations, Warning, Market research and Political facts.

What purpose does it serve?

It examines all policies for the public funds. They maintain procedures people will understand. They also do analysis to find out which has the greatest potential to improve policy making, and then the government use the results and findings to better policies.
