Assignment 2: Analysis of Individual Performance in a Team

By Friday, November 23, 2012, write a 3–5 page analysis of team dynamics in a team of which you have been a part. Incorporate what you have learned about your emotional intelligence skills into this paper, as well as other characteristics of individual behavior we have studied so far. Support your analysis with what you have learned from the course text, in addition to a minimum of five peer-reviewed articles. Use proper APA format. Include the following in your analysis:

1. Briefly describe the team about which you will be writing. What was the purpose of the team? Was it an ongoing team or a project team?
2. What was your role in the team? How did that affect the team’s dynamics?
3. What strategies did the team use to manage the group process?
4. Describe the processes and standards followed by your team to perform at its best.
5. After assessing your team’s performance, what changes would you make if you could reformulate the team from scratch? Explain your rationale.
