Muscles: Analysis of Camaro 2010
Every day, people in the world go through the advertisements. Advertising has become the best way to increase the sale of products, even if the products are not good. Advertising of the Camaro 2010 it appeals to what advertising researcher Jib Fowles (1982) that calls “Need to dominate “(p2), which is describe the power and the look of the car that we can look on the picture. Moreover, its model appeared muscle, which describes that the man on the upper right ready to face whatever comes its way. Customers may be interested in this ad and they are thinking about getting racing cars or fast car. That is the reason why the ad would appeal to someone who has muscles to buy a sport car. Overall, the blackness of the ad combined with the image of a muscle man and car it’s show how it’s related the humans muscles need muscles cars. The appeal to dominate continues in the text describing the car. It’s said “In the world gone small, somebody’s gatta have muscle”. In this statement, they describe how the car changing. The magazine advertisements are reflecting the audience in whom they are effort to reach. Among these advertisers, the most popular by far have been those from the dominant industry. The ad analyzed here appealed to cars, which are popular for guys. Also, this car can be used for powerful people. In addition, their ad has a strong reason to get my interest. Finally; Camaro 2010 used images and language to try to persuade the customers who like and looking for sports cars. Advertisements can be effective in appealing to the many different aspects of humans. Especially for the cars, realize the importance of having sport cars, especially the American sports cars.
