How would you explain the difference between casual dining and fine dining?

Fine dining restaurants are expensive. I used to work at a fine dinning restaurant and I would have many people complain that the food is not worth the money. Personally I thought that our food wasn’t worth the money even though it was really good. I think that many people go to fine dinning restaurants for the ambiance not just for the food. I always think this type of restaurant re for people they have a lot of money.

There is no doubt that dining market is more classier than the eating market. Having the chance to be waited on and eating fine food from great chefs make the experience more enjoyable. When I am eating at a fine restaurant I do not get attitudes from the waiter who is serving my table unlike the response I get when I am going through the drive through. So, there is definitely a difference between the two.

Someone in class tell us about COPD and its effect on the respiratory system. What is COPD? What is the prognosis once diagnosed? What types of treatments are available for it?

I have a friend who smoked all her life and a few years back had shortness of breath. She kept on smoking. She married a man who also smoked and would smoke cigars. She started smoking the mini cigars with him even though she was supposed to quit smoking. Well over time, it got to the point where she had a major attack and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. There they told her she had COPD and she is now on oxygen at night. She still has shortness of breath during the day. I often wonder if she would have stopped smoking when she was first told to do so, if she would be in the shape she is today. I smoke too, but not very often. I have of course had doctors look at me weird but when I tell them it’s only sometimes they really don’t have much to say since the world we live in is polluted as well, but I do know it is something I should stop. You are an inspiration to me and I am so glad that you are on your way to “new” lungs.

What are our thoughts on the ban on smoking in public places? Is it fair to the smoker? Why or why not?

The changes in the smoking laws has changed just in the past few years. I know that in my local community there is no smoking in restaurants, bars, workplaces, ect. However, I remember when there was no such laws, and people could smoke anywhere. You can not even smoke on the hospital property in my hometown, the laws have defiantly changed! Although, I use to smoke, I do not put down the smokers, but I do know that it is very stinky and a very unhealthy habit. The second hand smokers use to not have the choice and was stuck with the smokers all around them; now with the changes, people have more of the choices and can go to a bar or a restaurant and not have to deal with the stinky and unhealthy cigarette smoke! Good luck to you!
