Journal — Rough Draft Outline and Speech

A Rough Draft of your Outline AND a rough draft of your Script or Essay that makes-up your Ted Talk or Lecture. In other words, I want to see your progress in organizing and writing this Ted Talk/Lecture. See the samples on Canvas that I showed you during the 3/15 Lecture.

Some guidelines for your outline and your speech (Talk or Lecture):

This is for a 10 minute presentation.

This is either for a Ted Talk audience, which is a broader segment of the population, probably fairly educated, etc.

Remember the discussion of genre.  There are certain criteria that help define a Ted Talk “text.
