 DISCUSSION:

1. According to the author, “we need to think of learning particular mathematical concepts as the constant and the amount of time it takes to do the learning as the variable, rather than making the historical error of viewing the time as the constant and learning as the variable.”  Respond to this quote. What do you think it means? Do you agree with this idea? Why or why not?
2. How does this quote relate to the concept of curriculum mapping, as described in the chapter? How would you reconcile the idea above with the practice of curriculum mapping?
