For example . . . On the other hand . . . S TEP 7: P ROOFREAD  Read your essay silently to yourself.  Make sure you haven’t skipped any words. Add missing words neatly in the space between lines.  Check your spelling. Be sure that you didn’t misspell any words in the original question!  Look for places where a transition word would help make your points more clear.
