I think cities should be able to properly enforce these anti-discrimination ordinances instead of state governments typically imposing uniform laws in all states. If we get to carefully analyze in more detail the problem of discrimination in states, cities, and counties, we can realize that it is a problem that occurs more in certain states. Such as Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, and other more states. Where local workers, students, and adults, are people unprotected by state nondiscrimination statutes that include sexual orientation and gender identity. On the website titled “LGBT People in the US Not Protected by State Non-Discrimination Statutes,” you can consult a table where it is surveyed that the number of states and LGBT people that are not protected or supported by the government in the area of employment, education, public accommodations, housing, and credit. They are inordinately too many.

As a result, my key question is, if several states already have laws that protect LGBT people, why do we continue to have this problem? From my point of view, we should prove something distinctive, like eradicating the problem from within. Each city or county that observes that this social problem continues to arise, proposes laws against discrimination against these people. It is a social problem that we have been confronting for a long time, and it does not seem that things are changing, so as James Brooks said in the website “Many Cities Are Creating Policies Apart from Their States.” “I think the cities have the political will and consensus to move when the federal government and the state may be paralyzed or polarized,” said James Brooks, city solutions director for the National League of Cities. “City leaders are implementing the things citizens seem to want, and voters seem to be supportive of all of this.” Who is right, there are times when the state does nothing to correct certain fundamental problems in its community, it would be better for those cities themselves to help change it.

I do not believe that local governments should be allowed to enforce these ordinances and instead leave it up to the businesses to decide what they would like to do.  For example, business owners like Melissa and Aaron Klein who refused to make a cake for a same-sex wedding due to their religious beliefs should be completely acceptable.  Thankfully, the Oregon supreme court sided with them and protected them from being significantly fined by the law suit the same sex couple filed toward them.  Businesses can be specifically targeted due to their beliefs because I am told that it was obvious that Melissa and Aaron were religious and the same sex couple knew that the bakery would likely reject their request for a cake.  Sadly, they still attempted to place the bakery in a negative spotlight.  In addition, the same sex community attempts to censor anyone who disagrees with the community.  For example, Drew Brees appeared in an ad that supported a Christian based group called ” Focus on the Family”.  Since the group is Christian and Drew Brees spoke in an ad for them, they immediately deemed Brees as an enemy and activist against their community.  Therefore, they began to attack one of the most well rounded and humble individuals in the NFL.  They should be ashamed of their tactics and quit attacking Christianity.
