Examiing Archival Institutions
Examine two archival institutions:1. The Rosa Parks Museum2. The National Women’s History Museum • Go to the website of these two institutions and identify/discuss what collections could be used, (e.g. government documents, ephemera, film, correspondence, etc.), to support the topic of African American women and the civil rights movement.• Individually/separately, Identify/discuss any collections at these institutions that might be useful for scholars interested in creating new research projects related to the topic of African American women and the civil rights movement. • Finally, are any relevant collections digitized? Are there digital finding aids, and, if so, how would you use them to prepare for a research trip to this institution? If not, how could those resources assist you in your research of this topic?
