Visibility and Technology

Some companies transformed themselves to meet changing market demands and were rewarded. Supply chain visibility “can significantly increase speed to market, reduce capital expenditures and manage risk.”*

Begin the Case background readings to learn about supply chain visibility and how it is incorporated. Then move to expert or consultant publications written within the past three years.

Case Assignment

Provide a well-balanced assessment of what is required for visibility in the chain according to the readings and information from at least three experts (articles, interviews, presentations, etc.). You must include four different strategies/requirements. Complete the case by discussing barriers to implementation.

NOTE: No resources should be more than three years old for this assignment because the industry is changing rapidly and the goal is to remain relevant throughout your career.
